Almost two months ago I quit Facebook. Too much crap in it. All the “innovative” things FB can do for you (keep virtually in touch with far away pals, scan others’ life when you’ve got nothing to do with yours, …) were overwhelmed by the disturbing and growing amount of wannatelltheworldhowcoolIam posts. I actually found I disliked many of my friends’ activities. Some of these people are still nice to hang out with (in real life!), some others I don’t even know who they are now and why, most do not even match with my life anymore.
But then came Google Plus. I tell everyone I’ve joined it because of my job. And you know what? it’s true!! Filling up circles I realized I’m getting old/experienced/bored by this kind of social networking. I still love other social networks but I feel like these services are as any other experience in life. You grow and your ideas/feelings/habits change. This summer is teaching me I’m fed up with silly sharing…
